Photo Rejuvenation
Photo Rejuvenation is a cosmetic laser treatment designed to improve the visible signs of age, sun damage and lifestyle. This exposure can affect your complexion in a variety of ways including freckles, Rosacea, brown spots, wrinkles and broken capillaries among other blemishes. The treatments work using a Broad Band Light (BBL) source to gently heat up the upper layers of skin. Skin cells are stimulated by the absorbed heat and create new collagen. Anywhere from 2 to 5 treatments can dramatically improve skin texture and collagen.
The most popular areas for treatment are face, neck, chest, shoulders and back of the hands as they are most often exposed to the damaging effects of sun light. However, any area of the body can be treated. The procedure may take only a few minutes or as long as 45 minutes depending on the area treated. With virtually no downtime and minimal discomfort this is a safe and non-invasive procedure.
Once the treatment is over it is very important to follow proper procedure with any products or instructions given. You will be sensitive to UV light and need to avoid direct sun exposure while your skin heals. Either use a good sun screen or fully cover your skin.
